Out of the thousands of hopefuls that entered the Isle of Wight Festival New Blood Competition, only a handful now remain in the Semi-Finals.


These artists are some of the most exciting and promising acts on the scene and will all be competing for a coveted slot at Isle of Wight Festival 2025!

Strawberry Fires

Strawberry Fires are a four-piece from London, England with folk, indie and rock influences. With a conscientious, unique sound, they are currently rising through London’s music scene, and have been affectionately compared to the likes of and . Fronted by Teesside-born Andrew Green on lead vocals and guitar, he is charismatic and wears his heart on his sleeve with his lyrics and raw vocals. Complimented by Perry Emerson on lead guitar, with dreamy guitar melodies woven throughout and being able to turn up on stage with huge solos. Over in Funksville, you’ll find John Bielicki adding more licks than you’ll find in any rock and roll group on bass guitar alongside Artur Vicente, the Portuguese stallion; tastefully bringing bossa-nova to the table. The Fires have released two singles ‘Oway’ and ‘Lost Town’ and are currently working on an EP.

Flo Wilkes

Flo Wilkes is a 19-year-old London-based singer-songwriter known for blending indie-pop and rock with heartfelt lyrics and dynamic performances. With over ten years of experience, she became a front woman at 9 and developed a distinctive sound combining intimate storytelling and powerful instrumentals. Her singles “Hopeless” and “Rewritten” showcase her evolving musical identity, drawing inspiration from artists like Queen, Sabrina Carpenter, and CIL. While live performances are central to her artistry, Flo’s focus remains on creating music that connects deeply with her growing streaming audience of thousands.

Laid Off

After getting fired from their jobs, five best friends pursued their passion for music. They spent the summer of 2023 at Chale Abbey Studio, where artists like Michael Kiwanuka and Flyte have recorded, crafting a blend of lyrics and ideas with producer Sam Grade. Inspired by Oasis, LCD Soundsystem, and Sticky Fingers, they've created a unique sound that explores themes of youth, connection, and growth. Their music tells stories of wild nights, lost love, and life lessons. LAID OFF is set to release a five-track EP and will headline the Camden Assembly in August for their debut live performance.

It's Irrelevant

Its Irrelevant are a 4 piece Alternative Rock band from East London, UK. Mixing Punk Rock energy with progressive riffs and emotive vocals, is the bands unique approach to modern alternative rock. Releasing their first 2 EPs, "Little Lives Part 1 & 2" in the Summer of 2023 and late 2024, the band are set to release more music this summer of 2025. The band have experience playing at famous London venues such as The Fiddlers Elbow, and Dublin Castle, with their highlight supporting the Pop Punk professionals, 'The Bottom Line' and 'Beauty School' at The Camden Assembly.

Pocket Jam

Pocket Jam is a vibrant and energetic live act, incorporating elements of funk, jazz, blues and pop, all firmly rooted in 60s soul. The band’s eclectic output ranges from high-octane stompers to heartfelt ballads, with a core purpose of making music to get you up on your feet and grooving to the beat. Following a string of successful single releases, their debut EP ‘Spread The Love’ comes out on 15 November.
