SpiritOil

SpiritOil is a two-piece post-punk/alternative band from Surrey, UK. The band formed at university after members Cameron Day (Vocals & Bass) and James Starkey (Drums) discovered they were from the same town, but just hadn’t met yet. Drawing comparisons to bands like The Cure, Depeche Mode and Demob Happy, recent highlights include radio play for ‘For Your Own’ on BBC Introducing Sussex & Surrey with Melita Dennett, support shows with Courting, Gans, and Dead Air, and performing at Pub-In-The-Park Reigate Festival 2025. The band’s latest release, ‘For Your Own’, is intimate with a punchy groove and sets the precedent for the sound of their second EP, ‘Youth Issues’, coming in 2026.
