Jack Shear

Jack Shear bloody loves writing songs and singing them. Inspired by the ‘have-a-go’ nature of Billy Bragg and Frank Turner, Jack combines honest, soul-bearing lyrics with catchy melodies. He creates songs that have the sensibility of folk, the joy of pop and the authenticity of punk – or as he likes to put it ‘rough pop’. Having spent most of his life hiding his unrefined voice from even his closest friends, a chance open-mic performance in 2023 jumpstarted his journey as a singer-songwriter. His songs tell stories that are deeply personal yet comically relatable. Fans of Sam Fender, Frank Turner, and Noah Kahan will find themselves at home with his music.
