Beat the Drum

Beat the Drum are writers and performers, Chris Calloway and Steve Murrell. The cult band Beat The Drum initially formed as a five piece in West London and although they achieved critical acclaim they remained an outsider cult band below the radar of the mainstream. Chris & Steve reformed the band as a duo. From art rock to dub via guitar driven electronica they evoke an attractively strange magic that is all their own. Beat The Drum maintain full artistic control over all they do, hence their mission statement ‘WE MAKE THE RULES’. Their music is constantly evolving and yet the foundations of their sound is always evident, elevating their inimitable sound and lyrical vision to new heights.

Sephine Llo

Sephine Llo, a composer and multi-instrumentalist with an unconventional songwriting style that marries folk, neoclassical and glitchy electronica. An award-winning artist, her sound is an innovative concoction of distorted soundscapes wrapping her heart-wrenching orchestrations and ethereal vocals. Her debut EP Flame and album I, Your Moon garnered attention from Wonderland, Clash, BBC6, BBC3 Late Junction and she played at Union Chapel and Wilderness Festival. The loss of her husband Robbie (Autumn Chorus) to cancer when pregnant put an untimely hiatus on her career; but now she is back with her most personal account to date: Diamond Fall, incorporating samples of Robbie’s unfinished works.

Mona

Mona is a project born from a break-up with the artist’s previous band in Spain. Moving to London was the push that Mona was desperately looking for to start performing. Vulnerable and rebellious, she portrays emotions and stories that intentionally seek to connect the audience with their demons, hopes, and losses. Her music offers shelter to those who seek understanding and belonging and will create discomfort for those who are unwilling to look inside themselves. Mona will shoot an arrow straight to the heart unapologetically.

fledglings

fledglings is an alt-rock project from Aotearoa New Zealand, led by vocalist and songwriter Clarrie Macklin. Now based in London, Macklin is finalising the debut EP and bringing fledglings’ sound to the UK indie scene. fledglings writes music for broken songbirds. Their music visits a place where making sense of the world occasionally means exploring the shadowed and sometimes twisted paths of imagination — where rekindling lost anguish, wonder, and play is possible.Their intimate yet epic sets blend lyrical storytelling with grooves drawn from rock, folk, and soul. It’s a sonic trip made to get lost in — an invitation to rediscover something precious and forgotten.
