Kingsgate

Kingsgate is a six-piece that blends rock, funk, pop and RnB into a powerful sound that gets crowds on their feet. Their ethos is that music should be fun and make you feel something, and with catchy melodies, rich harmonies, and energetic instrumentals, theirs does exactly that. The band was started by two friends who grew up together on the Kingsgate estate in Dalston, London, from which they take their name. After taking a short hiatus following the tragic loss of one of these founding members in 2023, Kingsgate has re-emerged more determined than ever. They’ll soon be releasing their first single “Let’s talk about it” and gigging around London throughout the Summer – keep an eye out!

Laid Off

After being collectively laid off from their jobs, five friends who grew up playing together perused their passion for music. They spent the summer of 2023 on the Isle of Wight at Chale Abbey Studios, recording their first EP, ‘With Immediate Effect’. Bound in body and spirit by Rock ’n’ Roll, the combination of guitars and elements of electronic music has created an explosive sound, free from compromise and conformity. Before the release of their first EP, Laid Off headlined and sold out the Camden Assembly, Bush Hall and O2 Academy Islington. Now through to the Grand Final at Bush Hall of the their home town festival competition, they are not to be missed.

Richard Carter

Meet Richard Carter, a visionary artist from South Norwood, London. His musical journey was shaped by diverse influences: hip-hop from his aunt and uncle, jazz from his mum, and the Beatles, Joy Division, and reggae from his dad. At age 2, Richard discovered a piano in the rain and has been playing ever since. His music seamlessly blends hip-hop, orchestral, pop, indie, and gospel, creating an enchanting and unforgettable sound. With his production, he brought to life the biggest horror film of 2023 with his creation "Le Monde - From Talk to Me" topping charts globally. In his artistry, Richard explores mental health, love, and power struggles through poignant lyrics and captivating melodies. He has performed sold-out shows at O2 Islington and Brixton Jamm, delivering emotionally charged live performances. With a goal to tour globally, Richard's latest single, "PAID," details the struggles of an underpaid creative after topping the charts as an independent VIBE.
