Formed in 2020 Dead Red Jets raw 3 piece sound is infused with the sound and feeling of 50’s style rock & roll,with the attitude and drive of garage rock. Dead Red Jets-Andy Smith(guitar & lead vocals), Ray Brodrick (drums & percussion), Jamie Burridge (bass & vocals) Released their debut album in August 2023. Recorded in the vein of early rock & roll the album was recorded in just 2 sessions to capture the raw live sound of the band. Drawing on the early influences of Little Richard,The Backbeat Band and Vince Taylor along with The Jim Jones Revue and Nick Curran & The Lowlifes. Also adding glimpses of The Stooges,The Cramps, Detroit Cobras, MC5 and Gallon Drunk to the bands sound.

The Famous Men

Following a sell-out reunion gig at the legendary Hope & Anchor last year, post-punk proto funk five piece The Famous Men are coming to The Spice Of Life for one night only! An obscure footnote to music history from the late 70’s re-emerging. Away from chatter and compromising chaos, & into the inner spaces so many faces & sweet deafening sounds of punk rock’n’roll… listening to the re-sounding, cutting the air like it was glass, rock’n’roll was dead but they’d still take your money. Swept away into the disneyland for adults. Hifi, wifi or scifi who wants to tell? It’s the grip that won’t let go….you’re addicted. Funk-punk guitars, reverse bass lines and this is what you’re missing.

Little Nellie

Since 2016, Edd, Cam, Nick, and Tobe—known collectively as Little Nellie—have been raising hell across London’s indie rock scene. With a raw blend of gritty indie melodies and pounding punk rhythms, their sound is like the real-life soundtrack to a Peaky Blinders brawl. Their 2019 debut EP, Little Nellie, set the tone: unpredictable, loud, and unapologetic. After a short break, they’re back with new music and old favorites, channeling a raucous energy that always keeps the crowd guessing. Sometimes quiet, mostly loud, but always ready to shake the walls, they’re making music for misfits, rebels, and anyone who’s ready to listen.

Have you ever wondered what Bruce Springsteen & The E-Street Band would be like if they had to travel via TFL? Company Policy combines Laurence Hockin’s expressive keyboard arpeggios & vocals with Joe Haddock’s infectiously joyful drumming to create a foundation for what they call, “office rock.” They bring 80s-style showmanship and British humour to songs about postmodern London. A penchant for catchy, cheeky rock ‘n’ roll is all you need to enjoy a set from Company Policy.

El Ray

El Ray are an indie rock band from Newcastle-upon-Tyne performing original music inspired by artists such as Sam Fender, The Strokes, and Fontaines DC amongst others. Based in Newcastle and London, the band brings a stylistically distinct brand of music, crafting melancholic lyrics with upbeat melodies, dynamic bass and punchy drums. The songs range from classic alt/indie rock sounds to haunting ballads building to heavy anthemic crescendos.
