Join us for an evening of ‘Beer and Busking’ through the secret refrigerator at The Mayor Of Scaredy Cat Town. This hidden gem features some of London’s finest emerging talent performing a mixture of originals, classic covers and modern-day hits. Show your support for the artists by leaving a ‘tip’ during their performance. All proceeds go to War Child UK to help children in areas of conflict.

On arrival please use the secret password and say ‘I’m here to see the Mayor’

Angel Wong

Born and raised in Hong Kong, Angel Wong is a vocalist, composer and multi-instrumentalist whose music is characterised by original indie neo-soul songs, reimaginations of fringe jazz standards, and an open-minded approach to improvising derived from a love of contemporary and free music. She keenly embraces a variety of musical idioms as both a scholar and a practitioner (performing, writing, producing), spanning all the way from Western Art Music and Chinese folk music to 90s Gospel Music and the electronic sound worlds of Trance, Future Bass and Alternative Pop.

Mercury Trip

Mercury Trip stands out with a raw, edgy vibe led by Maddie’s soulful, powerful vocals. With a signature mix of hollow-body guitar and heavy bass, their sound channels legends like Janis Joplin and Hendrix, with a Yeah Yeah Yeahs type blend on top. Their lyrics, exploring love, loss, and social struggles, leave audiences feeling understood and united. Maddie also plays as a solo performer, with a finger picking and percussive style which is largely inspired by John Martyn. The stripped back sets are not to be missed.

Weston Day

Somewhere between John Denver and Jon Bon Jovi lands Weston Day. The 8 string baritone acoustic guitar cut by the forthright punchy vocal lend the Day sound a fresher deeper feel than you might expect. The first single “Storms” was released on Spotify in March ‘24 and since then Weston has been garnering support playing live in venues in and around London. He is set for even bigger and better shows in the Autumn. Weston Day live aims to be entertaining. Armed with a number of uplifting, infectious and occasionally sentimental tunes that I love playing, hopefully you too will catch hold of the good vibe.

Tooth Gore

Tooth Gore is a Surf Punk artist originally from Newquay, Cornwall, now based in London. He writes and performs songs that combine the raw unrefined punk energy with catchy melodies and reverb heavy doo-wop inspired slower moments. His first album Halloween released in March of 2024 with the track ‘Spoiled Milk’ being featured on BBC introducing as well as a curated playlist by Frank Turner. However, he has just finished recording the second full length album For Losers, By Losers which represents his full departutre into the surf punk genre. Tooth Gore live shows always bring an electric energy that’s hard to resist, with the catchy surf vibe being palletable to a wide audience.
