Tabi

Brighton-born and based Tabitha Barrowcliffe, aka TABI, may have delivered the catchiest song of 2025. Write A Song About was written when TABI was 13 after a boy at school asked her if he was the kind of boy she would write a song about. He was, but not in the way he hoped, and hence was born this infectious two-and-a-half-minute pop anthem.

Eville

The juxtaposition of Eva Sheldrake’s crushing riffs and candied vocals became the cornerstone of the Brighton-formed Brat Metal band Eville. Joined by Milo Hemsley (drums), Riley Sweeney (guitar/backing vocals) and Jude Richards (bass/backing vocals) the four-piece have been burning up the UK with their signature amalgam of bratty vocals and nu-metal. Eville have been crowned track of the week by Alyx Holcombe on BBC Radio 1 - who they have garnered extensive airplay from, as well as The Radio 1 Rock Show, Radio X, Radio 6’s Steve Lamacq and have been included on a ‘Best of 2023’ on TotalRock.
