Out of the thousands of hopefuls that entered the Isle of Wight Festival New Blood Competition, only a handful now remain in the Quarter-Finals.


These artists are some of the most exciting and promising acts on the scene and will all be competing for a coveted slot at Isle of Wight Festival 2025!

The Pillbox Jam

The Pill Box Jam was formed in early 2024 by passionate musicians dedicated to delivering electrifying performances that will captivate your audience and elevate any event. The core members are Michael Benhoer, Nigel Feldman, Fran Bernhard and other musicians. They are a self-contained band encouraged by Jazz standards and funk grooves. The Pill Box Jam has formed a solid fan based within only a few months. Their unique blend of funk grooves, jazz solos, and strong melodies makes them unique on what they do, breaking away from Jazz stereotypes. With a fusion of jazz sophistication and funky rhythms, The Pill Box Jam creates a unique and vibrant sound that will get everyone on their feet.

Rusty Halo

Alt rock band hailing from London, UK. An alchemical blend of hard rock with contemporary flair. Drawing inspiration from rock legends such as Led Zeppelin and Queen, as well as modern rock icons such as Soundgarden, Radiohead and Muse, the band delivers a sound that’s both raw and anthemic. Their powerful riffs, unearthly melodies, and dynamic performances captivate audiences, elevating them to a blissful state of chaotic harmony. Committed to pushing musical boundaries, they continue to evolve and redefine the genre.

Josh Roberts

Originally from Maidenhead, Berkshire, Josh Roberts is a 21 year old solo Artist and singer/songwriter currently based in Brighton. Josh Roberts’ sound mixes elements of indie rock artists such as Sam Fender and James Bay with the electronic feel of bands like MGMT, Parcels and Daft Punk. Having also been inspired by greats such as David Bowie and Queen from a young age, his approach to songwriting is imaginative yet sophisticated. After spending the past two years playing at venues in Brighton he ventured out into London at the start of 2024 to play his first show in the Capitol. Roberts and his band have played alongside other upcoming artists such as George Alfie and Dave Alex and are due to play at 93 Feet East in Shoreditch February of this year. After having expanded his music and feeling more established as an Artist, he is preparing for his debut festival this summer at Glastonbury. Roberts will be playing two sets over the weekend on the Croissant Neuf stage.

LI KUAN

LI KUAN is a London-based recording artist and multi-instrumentalist blending cinematic string arrangements under smooth pop melodies. Drawing influence from artists like Rosalía, Lana Del Rey, Caroline Polachek, and Florence and the Machine, LI KUAN’s sound is warm, cathartic and intricately detailed.

Emergency Break

“So good, you’d tell your mum you went to school with us”   With their wild live performances and distinctive rock sound, Emergency Break have taken the London music scene by storm. Establishing their identity through internally recorded singles and chaotic live performances, the band are known for their raucous live shows. The band take full ownership of the stage with their charisma and onstage antics, making every performance an electrifying experience. With the confidence and creativity to extend their live musical experience to a wider audience, the band continue to grow both themselves and their wider community. The band show no signs of stopping.

Flo Wilkes

Flo Wilkes is a 19-year-old London-based singer-songwriter known for blending indie-pop and rock with heartfelt lyrics and dynamic performances. With over ten years of experience, she became a front woman at 9 and developed a distinctive sound combining intimate storytelling and powerful instrumentals. Her singles “Hopeless” and “Rewritten” showcase her evolving musical identity, drawing inspiration from artists like Queen, Sabrina Carpenter, and CIL. While live performances are central to her artistry, Flo’s focus remains on creating music that connects deeply with her growing streaming audience of thousands.
