Get your dancing shoes on and head down to the Old Blue Last to celebrate the launch of Pocket Jam’s debut EP, ‘Spread The Love’. Featuring an explosive headline set from the six-piece soul group, the band will be joined by the brilliant Modern Liv and Poppy Prescott in support. Get ready to groove into the night with a vinyl-only set from the incomparable Hamish OOX who will be spinning dazzling disco classics and obscure soul stompers until our 3am curfew.

Pocket Jam

Pocket Jam is a vibrant and energetic live act, incorporating elements of funk, jazz, blues and pop, all firmly rooted in 60s soul. The band’s eclectic output ranges from high-octane stompers to heartfelt ballads, with a core purpose of making music to get you up on your feet and grooving to the beat. Following a string of successful single releases, their debut EP ‘Spread The Love’ comes out on 15 November.

Modern Liv

Modern Liv is an indie rock singer / songwriter with roots in Jazz. Her first EP Boy Band came out in July! Come hear her sing a mix of angry bops, rock anthems and indie sad girl ballads. Instagram: @modern_liv

Poppy Prescott

Hastings born singer-songwriter Poppy Prescott draws even the rowdiest of crowds to silence with her soft soulful vocals and folk-style storytelling. Growing up surrounded by musicians, Poppy begun performing live long before she was allowed to be hanging around music venues. Some of the highlights include headline performances at The Troubadour London (Sold out), Printworks Hastings, Pizza Express Jazz Club Holborn, festival slots at WOMAD, receiving the Creative Access x McLaren Career Development Bursary and being awarded a scholarship to Richard Thompson’s New York guitar camp. She wrote and released her debut EP Grand Gestures in 2022 and her sophomore Reasons Why in late 2023, which both garnered BBC Radio 6 play and praise from Tom Robinson. She’s releasing new tunes regularly and grabbing the attention of new fans by playing live around the UK!
