“An artist’s duty, as far as I’m concerned, is to reflect the times.” – Nina Simone Bad Times! might not impress you but they will entertain you. Think showtunes over distorted guitars, honky tonk, bizarre synth effects and a lurching rhythm section, with costumes. Against the odds it actually sounds alright. Talking Heads, Frank Zappa and David Bowie meet Raffaella Carrà and the Scissor Sisters for an end-of-the-world barn dance. Message from the band: “We’re running a free raffle competition at shows atm where you can win a karaoke slot for the following show. Pick a song, we’ll learn it and then we’ll close the next show together!”

London-based artist Kanukai is a guitarist with a decade-long love affair with music, drawing inspiration from legends like Hendrix to craft his own unique sonic universe. 6th.Blue.Avenue is a London based Rock/Blues trio, playing covers of the best of Rock and Blues tunes as well as originals. Covers include – Gary Moore , Led Zeppelin , Prince , Aerosmith, Pink Floyd , BB King , Albert Collins , SRV and Jimi Hendrix just to name a few. The band has a wide range and plays anything from favourite ballades to high voltage rock guaranteed to get you off of your feet. With some seasoned musicians on board the band is steadily establishing its presence and a name for itself on the London scene. If you love Rock and Blues you wouldnt want to miss this one !

Her name was? Are an alternative rock duo formed in Alberta Canada lighting up the London music scene. Known for their energetic and immersive live shows Her name was? always deliver a performance like no other. Their sound is reminiscent of acts such as nirvana and sex pistols with elements of 60s soul, psychedelic and a bit of goth rock for good measure.

ALCHEMY

Alchemy, an indie rock band from Derby, formed in summer 2023 and features brothers Peter (lead singer) and Phil (bass), along with Ollie (lead guitar), Tom (guitar), and Brad (drums). They released their debut single, “Blessings,” on New Year’s Day 2024. The track has been featured on BBC Introducing East Midlands, and other local stations. Known for their diverse sound, they’ve captivated audiences at venues like The Sunflower Lounge and The Hairy Dog, rapidly building a loyal fanbase. The band have done a couple live sessions and tv shoots for the likes of Notts TV and Original Voice Media, projecting their talent across the country for everyone to see.
