SCRAP

Combining some dark grunge rawk elements with a bit of post punk bleakness and some Clash like cool, with an original punky narrative style to the vocal, putting you in mind of a 21st Century East of England Joy Division. They broke the spell of post-punk assimilation that has vexed the scene since the departure of the iconic Factory Records outfit with the rhythmics of All in Blind; especially when the unholy matrimony of the outro guitar solo affirms that, as a powerhouse, [SCRAP] is worth its weight in gold.

Wedgy

Finding inspiration in the juxtaposition of travel and homecoming, Wedgy navigates the realms of Alt Rock. After a stint crafting electronic landscapes during their travels, they return to the familiarity of home, guitars in hand. Whilst remaining rooted by distorted guitar tones, Wedgy weaves in synths and digital production techniques to define the sound they strive towards. Live performances, whether as a 3-piece or solo, prove to provide a dynamic range in both noise and energy with tones ranging from harsh fuzz to delicate atmospheric synths.

Mother Said

Mother Said is a Leeds-Based post-punk 5 piece, sporting two female lead singers. Taking inspiration from the original post-punk and new wave to create a blend of the absurd, political and dark. Infusing heavier classic punk lyricism with rock and roll undertones they create female riot with purpose. They formed in 2022 and have already played in numerous different cities, locals festivals and amassed an enthusiastic following. They were chosen as one of the ‘best of the year’ by BBC Introducing Leeds and Sheffield, frequently featuring on their channel for interviews, live performances and music debuts. Last October they won the Live At Leeds in the City artist submission competition and went on to play the festival. They have also played the Dark Arts festival in Leeds, Tarantino Festival in Hull, had their own headline gig in London and have supported many upcoming and successful bands in the scene.
