BUZZKILL JOY is a genre-fluid lil punk in pink from Scunthorpe, northern England Starting out in April 2023, he has released four singles, covering a wide range of hard-hitting topics such as ADHD, anxiety, depression, politics and society His unique genre-bending sound, stark lyricism, and rousing energy have garnered him multiple spins on BBC Introducing, including a spin on BBC Radio 1 Introducing Alternative show for his single Tap (The F**k) Out He was recently shortlisted for Y Not Festival, and also made it through to the live semi-finals of the Isle of Wight festival New Blood competition in April In November he announced the formation of his band, with an epic year of explosive live shows planned to follow in the new year. The first being in January show at the iconic Fiddlers Elbow, Camden Town. Drawing on the likes of Kieth Flint, Yungblud, Green Day and MCR, the energy has to be seen to be believed

Infused with the swagger of Arctic Monkeys, the gritty edge of The Strokes, and the pulsating energy of Foals, The Darwins’ music is a sonic cocktail designed to get your heart racing. Their tunes are a whirlwind of electrifying guitar riffs, driving rhythms, and unforgettable hooks that’ll have you singing along from the first note.

Burntwood

Burntwood combine inventive songwriting with expansive atmospherics. They incorporate elements of post-rock, americana and alternative. The London four-piece are set to release their debut record in 2024. Evoking Wilco, Pixies and The Replacements, big melodies lie at the heart of the songs. With songwriting shared between Chris Hornsby (Lead vocals & guitar), Simon Shippey (vocals, guitar & keys) and Tim Thackray (vocals, bass), there’s an eclectic energy to their output, which flexes from raucous 3-minute numbers to more expansive explorations. Completed by drummer John Singh, Burntwood has shaped their live set on the London circuit in the past 12 months ahead of unveiling new music.

Shadows of a Silhouette

British Alternative-Rock quartet Shadows of a Silhouette’s atmospheric new music looks to bring their dynamic take on Rock New Wave to the forefront. Thriving off live performances, the band’s sound is inspired by their need to connect with others – often leading to the raw, unflinching tone of their discography. Shadows of a Silhouette’s calls back to 2000s alternative influences such as Arctic Monkeys and The White Stripes – their music is comfortingly familiar yet uncannily new. As well as packing out established venues like The Bodega and Rough Trade, Nottingham; The Leadmill, Sheffield and Fiddler’s Elbow, Camden; the foursome played mainstage at YNot Festival ‘23 to rave reviews.

Domino Wave

Domino Wave are a UK-based four piece which formed in 2023 . A throwback to the indie-rock heyday of the 2010s, the group thrives on catchy, overlapped guitar riffs and high-energy rhythms reminiscent of The Libertines, or early-years Arctic Monkeys. Driven by lead songwriter and frontman Jay, Domino Wave is in the midst of a creative firestorm with new songs emerging at will. Their debut EP was released in 2024, and is available to listen to on all streaming platforms.
