Holly Wilks

From a pop vantage, 20-something West Londoner Holly Wilks’ music grapples with the inevitability of death; what it means to be a woman; how to exist in a body. Amid widescreen indie melodies and smoky, ageless vocals, it’s her lyrics that are the real draw: like obsessive thought patterns, they tumble and fizz, occupying instrumental spaces other songwriters wouldn’t dare to fill, rhyming when least expected. The result is Gen Z pop of the most intimate, literate kind, treading in snow-prints left by Phoebe Bridgers and Lizzy McAlpine, but carving a path to the listener’s heart that’s loopier, and all her own.

It’s all about those inner emotions for the alternative pop/rock singer/songwriter. Tasia started writing when she was 14 to express her personal experiences as well as her observations of the world that was unfolding in front of her eyes. Tasia believes that when writing music, she can say so much more on a piece of paper and a piano in front of her than the conversations that we have in our every day lives. It’s the idea that her music is not only there for others to enjoy listening to, but to allow the listener to dive deep into those emotions they may have never realised were there.

No Rest For The Spacemen

No Rest For The Spacemen (NRFTSM) is an exciting new indie collective that have traversed the cosmos with their galactic melodies and spacey psychedelia. Front man Charlie Parker spent two years honing his craft as a song-writer before recruiting fellow spacemen Daniel Beling, Dan Wood and Alex Brunt to bring his music to life. Together NRFTSM have just released their jet fuelled debut single ‘Somebody Like You’ which is out of this world! Taking musical influence from the legendary David Bowie, Bob Dylan and Pulp, NRFTSM perfectly weave together catchy hooks and melodies to create an unforgettable indie experience with soft, psychedelic undertones
