Fredrik Ceder and The Roke

Fredrik Ceder is a 6ft4 Viking with the voice of a foghorn. A London-based northern Swede who loves Bruce Springsteen, ice hockey, social democracy, Sus-Chords, and who doesn’t shy away from a pint. After graduating from BIMM London he has been in songwriting sessions in Sweden, London, and Los Angeles for the last couple of years whilst touring in the UK as a lead guitarist and working on his own material. Writing arena-folk-rock songs pinpointing the changes seen and experienced in life. Following up on the successes of their shows at The Macbeth and The Old Queens Head, this headline show at The Spice Of Life is a no brainer for any lover of music!

Mammoth

Mammoth are a five-piece progressive rock powerhouse, a fusion of classic rock, prog, and the blues. Drawing inspiration from legends like Supertramp, Pink Floyd, and Dire Straits, they craft a cinematic experience with keyboard-driven melodies, vast guitar solos, and captivating storytelling. Leading the band on vocals and keys: Benjamin Greaves-Neal. On lead guitar: William Hickling. On rhythm guitar and backing vocals: Matt Braz. On bass guitar: Harris Shallcross. On drums: Oscar Jinks.

Walter Kocays

Walter Kocays is an Alternative-Folk singer-songwriter from Stoke-on-Trent, based in Manchester. Often accompanied by long-term friend and collaborator Jack Mitchell on violin, Dennis Dinkle on Keys and Charley Westing on bass, Kocays combines elements of traditional and contemporary folk, spoken word and acoustic music; taking influence from the likes of Scott Matthews, Bon Iver, Mike Skinner and Kae Tempest. Expect bellowing vocals, moving string arrangements and a chap that doesn’t take himself too seriously whilst spluttering out the depths of his emotional thoughts and perspectives.

The Pursuit of Pleasure

The Pursuit of Pleasure play a particularly British strain of Americana. Their blend of alt-country and indie-folk is built around the dual harmonies of Wit & Rox. Melodic pop melodies are interspersed with darker, more introspective lyrics and the songs have a deeply personal honesty to them. The band draw influence from artists like First Aid Kit, The Decemberists, Keaton Henson, Jenny Lewis, The Cardigans, Kings of Convenience & other artists of a similar vein

Sophia Snow

Sophia Snow is a 20-year-old singer-songwriter and musician from London. She uses her experience as a classical singer and jazz bass player to craft catchy pop songs with tongue-in-cheek lyrics detailing the teenage experience. Inspired by acts such as Lizzy McAlpine, Alanis Morrisette, The Beths and Taylor Swift, her rich contralto tone helps create a powerful and unique sound filled with emotion.
