Out of thousands of hopefuls, only a handful of standout solo artists and duos remain in the Future Icon Quarter-Finals, each competing for a career-changing prize package worth over £5,000.

The winner will receive £1,000 in cash, an industry-leading artist development package courtesy of Blinding Talent, and professional studio recording time at Darkwood Studios from Headliner.

Future Icon is built to give emerging talent the tools, support, and momentum they need to thrive, from funding to promotion to production.

L!V is a Pop/R&B artist from Brighton, making music that is uplifting, heartfelt and relatable. Taking inspiration from artists such as Olivia Dean and Jorja Smith, she combines genuine lyrics with captivating melodies, drawing from her own experiences to shape her music. L!V hopes to connect with listeners through honest storytelling and emotion.

Alex Jasper

Alex Jasper is a Brighton based songwriter blending folk, blues, and darkly poetic storytelling. Inspired by Johnny Cash, Nick Cave, The Doors, and the old blues masters, his songs combine raw emotion, smoky melodies, and a voice full of grit and soul. A self-taught musician, he has spent the past decade building a strong live reputation across the UK and Europe, with sold-out shows at The Troubadour and Hootananny Brixton, plus appearances at Bath Festival, Camden Rocks, and the Edinburgh Fringe. Supported by BBC Introducing and shaped by collaborations with Grammy-winning producers, Jasper delivers powerful, electrifying performances that leave a lasting impression.

Evelyn Bustin

Evelyn Bustin is a folk singer songwriter based in Brighton, combining metaphorical descriptions with her own life experiences. Inspired by Lizzy McAlpine, Adrianne Lenker and Searows, her debut single Allergy Season is out on the 27th of July.

Betts

Betts is a soulful singer-songwriter blending heartfelt storytelling with rich melodies that linger long after the last note. Drawing from personal experiences and a diverse range of influences, Betts crafts songs that explore mental health, love, resilience, and self discovery with raw honesty and emotional depth. Whether performing intimate acoustic sets or full band arrangements, Betts’ captivating voice and authentic lyrics invite listeners on a journey through life’s highs and lows.

Alina

Indie-pop singer songwriter ‘Alina’ has been writing songs for 10+ years. Hailing from Bristol, she studied Music Performance and Artist Development at Access Creative College, performing at gigs and festivals during the course. In 2020, Alina ‘spread her fairy wings’ as it were and moved to Amsterdam to explore the world and take her music overseas, seeing success in a new country and learning a lot about herself and her art. In 2024 she decided to bring herself to England and relocated to Brighton, where she’s headlined The Folklore Rooms and other venues. With playful songs inspired by a precocious childhood and adventurous adulthood, Alina’s music spans a deep range of genres and themes.

Infra Violet

Infra Violet are an alt-pop/indie-rock duo based in Brighton UK. Guitarist and vocalist Beth Munroe, and producer Toby Campen fuse retro alternative synth elements with intricate guitar and raw soulful vocals. They’ve gained regular international radio play including BBC Radio, Phoenix FM and Nightride FM. ‘Dream Tether’ was their debut album, released late 2021 to overwhelmingly positive acclaim. Pushing the boundaries of the synthwave genre by combining singer-songwriter, rock, fingerstyle and electronic influences. Now, off the back of multiple UK tours, Infra Violet have just released their 3rd single ‘Enough’ from their highly anticipated 2nd album.
