Out of thousands of hopefuls, only a handful of standout solo artists and duos remain in the Future Icon Quarter-Finals, each competing for a career-changing prize package worth over £5,000.

The winner will receive £1,000 in cash, an industry-leading artist development package courtesy of Blinding Talent, and professional studio recording time at Darkwood Studios from Headliner.

Future Icon is built to give emerging talent the tools, support, and momentum they need to thrive, from funding to promotion to production.

Brand new couples duo Nat Dempsey & Eve Dunn are bringing a fresh take on folk singer songwriter music, inspired by the likes of Joan Baez, Hozier and Fleetwood Mac. Having already taken the stage at Kendal Calling and Manchester’s Castle Hotel, their voices fit like a glove as they seamlessly navigate through intricate harmonies and shared belts. With performances scheduled and new music on the way, the Manchester duo have an exciting year ahead of them.

Olivia Booth

Described by XS Manchester as “part Blondie, part Amy Winehouse, and part Courtney Love”, Olivia Booth is among the UK’s most exciting new indie voices. Originally from Warrington and now based in Manchester, she has been identified as ‘Big in 2026’ and ‘One to Watch’. Her music fuses Britpop grit with haunting emotional honesty. With support from BBC Introducing, Amazing Radio, and RadioX, and appearances at venues including The Cavern, The Bread Shed, The Deaf Institute. The Jacaranda, Olivia has recently smashed her performance at the Isle Wight festival! She has built her reputation on unfiltered authenticity, unmistakable vocals and raw, relatable indie anthem energy!

Lauren Claire Townley

Lauren Claire Townley continues to make waves on the country music scene with her upcoming song “Lying In The Hay” – a country anthem full of sass and sarcasm! This follows her previous releases Falling and A Penny For Your Boots, all high energy summer anthems! She recorded her tracks at the renowned Beaird Music Group in Nashville, Tennessee with world class session musicians. Lauren is currently smashing the stages of the Summer in Nashville U.K. and Middle East tour.
