Out of thousands of hopefuls, only a handful of standout solo artists and duos remain in the Future Icon Quarter-Finals, each competing for a career-changing prize package worth over £5,000.

The winner will receive £1,000 in cash, an industry-leading artist development package courtesy of Blinding Talent, and professional studio recording time at Darkwood Studios from Headliner.

Future Icon is built to give emerging talent the tools, support, and momentum they need to thrive, from funding to promotion to production.

Eve O'Riordan

Eve O’Riordan is a 22-year-old alternative folk artist who uses poignant lyrics and crunchy guitars to respectively rip your heart out and make you eat it. You can find her browsing her old diaries for lyric ideas and playing with a packet of antidepressants, or taking the stage with her band, The Night Owls, inviting the audience to scream at the world, dance to the sadness, and smile at the little things.

I’m Samantha, I absolutely love being able to express from my heart. I spent so long feeling like something was missing and it wasn't until i realised that the answer was in me letting myself express freely. It's been a journey of being true to myself and my own expression rather that worrying about what people may think of me My style is fluid and authentic, i sometimes just express in the moment and make my songs up on the spot whilst I'm performing although i would call it more expressing rather than perform – thats feels more true to me.

Drawing inspiration from artists such as Gracie Abrams and Olivia Dean, Jazmin creates contemporary pop songs that explore themes of love, self-discovery, vulnerability, and personal growth. With a desire and a passion for crafting meaningful music, Jazmin is building a distinctive voice as an emerging pop artist. As she continues to write, record, and perform, she remains committed to creating songs that resonate deeply and leave a lasting impression.

Ash Palmer

Inspired by a mixture of indie rock and Irish folk music, Ash Palmer writes stories and observations of the people and places around him backed up with catchy melodies and seriously powerful vocals. Inspired to become a musician after seeing Stereophonics live in 2008, Ash has been writing and performing for over 13 years. Initially inspired by indie giants such as stereophonics and Oasis, in more recent years Ash has combined his indie roots with his love for Irish folk acts, particularly The Pogues and The Dubliners, to create a collection of songs that cross multiple genres yet have a common theme of storytelling and social observations.
